深圳是著名的中国经济特区，毗邻香港、澳门的国际大都市，是中国经济最发达、现代化和国际化程度最高的地区之一。学院是中国发展快速、特色鲜明、潜力巨大、深受学生欢迎的大学之一，目前正加速迈向高水平、有特色、现代化一流大学的目标。学院积极招收外国来华留学生攻读博士学位（以下简称留学博士生）。现将具体规定公布如下：
The city of Shenzhen is a well-known special economic zone in China, which is adjacent to the international metropolis of Hong Kong and Macao. It is one of the most developed, most modern and internationalized regions in China. Shenzhen University is one of the fast developing universities in China with its distinctive features, huge potential and great popularity. It is now accelerating its steps to reach the goal of becoming a top modern university. Shenzhen University is actively recruiting foreign students to pursue their doctoral degrees. The specific provisions are hereby promulgated as follows:
一、招生专业
Majors
学院目前已经具有博士学位授予权的理论经济学、管理科学与经济决策、中国语言文学、光学工程、光生物学、光机电工程与应用、信息与通信工程、计算机科学与技术、大数据科学与技术、城市空间信息工程、土木工程、生物医学工程（医学、工学方向）、政治传播学十三个专业均招收留学博士生。2020年来华留学博士生招生专业及指导教师请查看附件。
Shenzhen University has been authorized to confer doctoral degrees in Theoretical Economics、Management Science and Economic Decision、Chinese Language and Literature、Optical Engineering、Optobiology、Optomechatronics Engineering and Application、Information and Communications Engineering、Computer Science and Technology、Big Data Science and Technology、Urban Informatics、Civil Engineering、Biomedical Engineering(Molecular Medicine/ Engineering Direction）、Political Communication. All the twelve majors are available for application. Please check the attachment of 2020 Admission PhD Programs and Supervisors for International Students.
二、 学习方式和学习年限
Study form and duration
1. 学习方式为全日制。
Full-time study.
2. 学习年限一般为3年，最长不超过5年。
The normal duration is 3 years, with the maximum of 5 years.
三、申请资格
Applicant Qualifications
1. 申请人须是非中国国籍公民，持有效外国护照，身体健康，品行端正，遵守中国法律、法规和学校的规章制度。
The applicant should be non-Chinese citizens with valid foreign passports, and should be good in physical and mental health and shall abide by the laws and regulations of China and the rules of school.
2. 申请人须具有硕士以上学位，年龄一般在40周岁以下。
Applicants should hold Master’s degree or above, and should be under the age of 40.
3. 申请人的学业成绩、学术水平等条件须达到所申请专业的入学要求。熟练掌握汉语或者英语，能运用汉语或者英语进行沟通交流、课程学习、课题研究和学位论文写作。
Applicants should meet the requirements for admission in academic performance, academic ability and other qualifications. Applicants should also be proficient in Chinese or English, and can use Chinese or English for communication, course study, subject research and dissertation writing.

1. 联系导师并取得《意向导师推荐信》
Contact the potential supervisor and ask for a Letter of Recommendation from him/her if possible.

五、申请材料
Application Materials
请在申请前准备好以下材料，以便在网络申请过程中上传。
Please prepare the following materials before applying：
1. 硕士毕业证书、学位证书电子扫描件
Scanned copy of the certificate and diploma of Master's degree
2. 硕士阶段全部课程的成绩单电子扫描件
Scanned copy of the transcripts of all courses during postgraduate period
3. 两封推荐信电子扫描件（教授或副教授出具）
Scanned copies of two recommendation letters (the recommendation letters shall be provided by professors or associate professors)
4. 一份个人陈述电子扫描件（1500字左右，用英文或中文撰写。内容应包括：拟报读专业与导师、个人学习与工作经历、学术研究成果等）
Scanned copy of self-statement (The self-statement should be around 1500 words, and written in English or Chinese, and should include: the intended major and supervisor, personal experience of study and work, academic research results etc.)
5. 护照电子扫描件

7. 《意向导师推荐信》电子扫描件
Scanned copy of Letter of Recommendation from potential supervisor/ advisor.
8. 无犯罪记录证明 (原件扫描件及中文翻译件)
Non-criminal Record Report (both original and Chinese translated copies)
* 各类证明、学位证和成绩单必须从有效机关签发及公证。
All certificates, diplomas and transcripts must be issued and notarized by the valid authorities.
* 所有文件必须经过正规翻译公司翻译成中文或者英文。
All the documents must be translated in Chinese or English by responsible translation company.
* 申请材料不全者不予受理。不论录取与否，以上材料一律不予退还。
Applicants who provide incomplete materials will not be accepted. The materials above won’t be returned whether you are admitted or not.
六、录取流程
Admission Procedure
1. 在申请截止后，我校组织专家评审小组对申请资料进行审核。学院博士留学生的录取主要对学生进行专业水平和语言能力等的综合考核，如有需要，可安排远程或当面面试。
After the application deadline, SZU will organize a panel of experts to review the application documents. SZU will admit doctoral applicants based on the overall assessment of theirs scores and all other supporting documents. During the process, long-distance or face-to-face interviews will be conducted, if necessary.
2. 2020年6月，预录取结果将以邮件形式通知学生。
In June, 2020, pre-admission results will be sent to applicants via email.
3. 2020年7月，我校确定最终录取的学生名单，并按照学生在网上报名系统填写的邮寄地址寄送录取材料原件。
In July, 2020, after confirmation of the list of admitted applicants, admission materials will be posted to applicants according to the address provided by the applicants on the application form.
4. 被录取的学生可持《录取通知书》和来华学习签证申请表(JW202)到中国使馆申请X1签证，在抵达中国后30天内将X1签证转换成学习类居留许可，逾期不办理相关手续者，将做退学处理。学校不接受持非学习类签证的学生报到入学。
Students who are accepted should apply for the X1 visa at their country’s Chinese Embassy (or Chinese Consulate) with “Shenzhen University Admission Notice” and “Visa Application for Study in China(JW202)”, and change X1 visa into a Residence permit for Foreign Students within 30 days after they enter China. Students who don’t apply for the relevant visa and residence permit will have to drop out. SZU doesn’t accept students with non-student visas.
5. 被录取的学生须根据《录取通知书》上所写的报到日期和报到地点来校报到注册，不接受学生提前报到。
Students who are accepted must register at the date and the address according to “Shenzhen University Admission Notice”. Registration in advance will not be accepted.
七、学费与奖助学金等其它待遇
Tuition fees and scholarship and other fees
1. 报名费: 200元
Application Fee: 200RMB
2. 学费：文科类：3.4万 RMB/每人/每学年
理工科类：4万 RMB/每人/每学年
医学/艺术/体育类：5.2万RMB/每人/每学年
Tuition Fee for Liberal Arts: 34,000 RMB/person/year
Tuition Fee for Science and Engineering: 40,000 RMB/person/year
Tuition Fee for Medicine/Arts/Physical: 52,000 RMB/person/year
3. 奖助学金 Scholarship and Grants
(1) 校级奖学金：文科类：3.4万RMB/学年
理工科类：4万RMB/学年
医学/艺术/体育类：5.2万RMB/学年
University scholarship for Liberal Arts: 34,000 RMB/person/year
University scholarship for Science and Engineering: 40,000 RMB/person/year
University scholarship for Medicine/Arts/Physical: 52,000 RMB/person/year
校级奖学金用于抵扣学费。
University scholarship is used to pay tuition fees.
(2) 基本助学金Basic Grants
学校提供每年4万元的基本助学金，分12个月发放。
SZU will provide a basic stipend of 40,000RMB per year which will be offered by 12 months.
(3) 导师科研津贴Research allowance from supervisors
指导教师为所招收的留学博士生每年提供一定金额的津贴，用于科研补贴或学术交流。
Supervisors will provide a certain amount of allowance for doctoral students each year as research subsidies or academic exchange subsidies.
* 延长学习期间的第一年，留学博士生可享受学校基本奖助学金，之后的延长学习期间不再享受上述待遇。
Students can have preferential treatment such as scholarships, grants fees for the first extended year of study. Such preferential treatment is not available from the second extended year of study.
4. 住宿与保险
Accommodation and Insurance
（1）住宿：校内宿舍设置单人间、双人间、单人套间可供选择，费用为5400-10000RMB/人/学期。学生需按所选房型自行缴纳住宿费。（水电费另外计收）
Accommodation: single rooms, double rooms and en suites are all available. The fees vary from 5,400 to 10,000 RMB for per student per semester. Students need to pay for the selected type of dormitory by themselves. (Water and electricity charges are not included)
（2）保险：400元/学期。外国留学生须购买我校指定的团体综合保险，注册报到时到国际交流学院购买，对于未按要求购买保险者，我校将不予办理入学注册手续。
Insurance: 400RMB/semester. International students should purchase the group all-risk insurance designated by SZU. Students are required to purchase insurance from the College of International Exchange on registration day. Those who do not purchase the insurance as required will not be able to get registered.
八、学位授予
Conferring of Degrees
学习期满，完成教学计划规定的课程，修满学分并通过博士学位论文答辩者，经校学位评定委员会审核批准后，颁发学院毕业证书并授予博士学位。
Once approved by the academic degree evaluation committee, students who have completed all the planned courses and gained all the designated credits, as well as passed the doctoral thesis defense will be awarded a doctoral degree and graduation certificate of Shenzhen University.
